Matching Exceptional Students With Quality Instruments. One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Yamaha Xeno model YTR-8335RGS Bb trumpet in silver plate.

It has a couple of upgrades from the typical Xeno: reversed leadpipe for a more open, free-blowing feel, and the gold brass bell for a rich, broad, expansive tone compared to the standard yellow brass. It would be Yamaha's equivalent to the Bach Stradivarius LR180S37G. It is in exceptional condition: silver plate about 99.9% with little if any wear at all, and perhaps a very few, very hard-to-find imperfections if you really go looking for them.

No signs of repair or significant dent removal. It is-as you can see in the photos-a beautiful instrument to look at. Valves are fast and smooth with excellent compression-so good that it's actually hard to remove them without depressing the valves. Note that this horn is oiled with SYNTHETIC valve oil, and you must use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based oil.

Plays beautifully with great intonation and an easily-accessible upper register. All tuning slides are free.

Just through the shop where it was lubed, polished, and had new water key cork and tuning slide O-rings installed. 7C mouthpiece, and a 10.5C mouthpiece which suits many people well for an accessible upper register without compromising the lower. Comes in the Yamaha custom double case with room for your C trumpet, practice trumpet, or a bunch of mutes and stands.
